(3/8) you thought you'd seen the last of me HUH!!!

WHAT'S UP!!! a weekend or so ago, i got bitten by the webdev bug again... a spider if you will. if you come visit my website, you will notice it looks quite a bit different! i updated it to suit my current aesthetic sensibilities + be less painful to look at for Me Specifically. while i liked the concept of the customizable header, it was very easy for me to grow used to it then get sick of it then want to turn it into something new and equally exciting, which always required a ton of work and thinking (this is why i only updated it twice), and it was a whole ordeal.

(i was also tired of seeing... myself LOL... like we get it mei. you're a human person who exists.)

so anyway. the meat of this update is really the redesign, which i'm quite happy with. but if you want the nitty-gritty:

• i consolidated my "about the site" and "about me" into one page: Just About!!!!! deleted some outdated information, and just kept the stuff i wanted to keep.
• reorganized the entire thing based on my site's new fan-first purpose (vs. just being a general personal site) (personal sites are cool! i just don't want to do that anymore!) and cleaned up my sitemap.
• i really like the little mailbox i made to put in the corner. i hate making graphics but that one was fun.
• not important to anyone but me but i made things so much easier for myself on the backend... yay... <3

i will slowly (SLOWLY!!!!!) be revamping some of the other pages and plugging them into this new site design template... i hope that doesn't sap out the soul of my site in the eyes of anyone visiting. or me. i'll play it by ear. and i'll also be making some new pages i'm excited about...!

ideally i can find a good balance between these two activities but knowing me, i might want to do all the revamping first just to get it out of the way. i'll spare you the updates if they're boring and just let you know if something important (?) happens.
