this is the homepage for the oc/canon ship i've developed between piers (pokemon sword/shield) and my heroine/gym leader oc, milly.

• overview: milly partners with galar’s tourism department to do videos on the different cities, and meets with piers at the opening event for the galarian star tournament. he joins her for the first spikemuth video and they hit it off, leading to them making excuses to work together more… the rest is history.

who is piers? 🎤

piers is a singer-songwriter from the galar region. he became the gym leader of spikemuth, his hometown, at a young age, and held that title up until the end of the game when he passes the baton to his younger sister, marnie. he's ALSO the leader of team yell, a group of spikemuth residents who cheer marnie on over the events of the game and cause problems for others (unbeknownst to piers LOL).

he's a little intimidating at first glance, and mostly keeps to himself, but he's a softy who loves his sister and his rundown town of misfits. he specializes in dark-type pokemon.

who is milly? 🎀

milly is the fairy-type gym leader of chiffrou city, in the extremely made up lyros region. having grown up in hearthome, she was previously a pokemon coordinator, but quit and pursued a trainer's journey instead. she is also a travel & beauty vlogger who frequently skips town for other gigs and vacations when the lyros gym challenge is off season (and sometimes even when it's on, oops).

her personality is expectedly very bright and bubbly, but she's a bit more perceptive than she might read. she likes rock music and city life.

why this pair?

milly was the first oc i made in years who i wanted to use for fan shipping purposes. she started as a gym leader sona and promptly got away from me... and then i realized she would be a convenient tool to use to smooch piers pokemon – my boy of the month at the time – on the mouth. so pimi came to be!

fluffy one + spikey one (or pastel + goth, however you want to call it) is a couple dynamic i will never abandon. i like the idea of two visibly different-looking characters with clearly different personalities being compatible. milly and piers look like they'd be at odds, but they surprisingly get along very well!

also despite milly's outgoing nature, she's just as shy as piers when it comes to romance... mutual pining's a fun trope to give characters who seem like they wouldn't be scared of confessing their feelings. one seems outgoing, the other straightforward... and yet! :)

this is probably my sweetest, least complicated oc/canon, bar my acnh one, because i was just jumping back into the selfship agenda back in 2021. their lore is fairly uneventful, but it's been fun to just explore the world of pokemon and this flavor of couple through pimi.
